Fashion is the language we use to speak about ourselves without words. My job is to help you find your voice.
My name is Alina Haikina. I am a personal stylist working with private clients in Riga and online.
My background is in the fashion business, so I look at clothing from two perspectives at once: aesthetically and very practically. For me, it is not enough for a piece to simply be beautiful or fashionable. I want to understand what it does for a particular person and what role it will actually play in their life.
I do not believe in universal lists of “10 things every woman should own.” Nor do I believe everyone should be styled into the same current aesthetic.
Every woman has her own scale, proportions, contrast, movement, temperament and way of life. Good personal style starts there.
- I prefer to work with individual features rather than so-called “flaws.”
- We can change the proportions of an outfit, add structure, create a longer or more defined silhouette, increase contrast or make the overall impression softer. But the goal is not to fix your body.
- The goal is to find clothing in which your individual appearance works at its best.
- Before we go shopping, I want to understand the person first: what you like, what your everyday life looks like, how you want to be perceived and what actually makes you feel like yourself.
- Sometimes the result is a quieter, more refined wardrobe. Sometimes it is more color, scale and character. Sometimes we discover that the thing you have always been told you “shouldn’t wear” is exactly what makes your look interesting.
- That is the part of styling I enjoy most — finding not what is universally beautiful, but what is right for you.
- I work with wardrobe edits, personal shopping, capsule wardrobes, event styling and more complete image transformations.
